Chapter 6: Marketing with Twitter

 In this chapter, it talked about how to market on Twitter. Twitter is a great tool for businesses looking to leverage their social media  platform for marketing. The chapter said that Twitter users are three times as likely to follow social media brands compared to Facebook. Twitter allows businesses to discover what's happening, increase brand awareness, provide customer service, and connect with customers, brand advocates, and influencers. The twitter algorithm was changed to improve the Twitter experience. The algorithm studies tweet from accounts that are followed and gives a score based on recency, relevancy, engagement, graphics (GIF, Images, etc), followers and location. Twitter is a very effective way to market your brand as it has a very integrated algorithm that will always boost your tweet if it has the categories that the algorithm studies. One thing that i was shocked about while reading was the Twitter users stick around for brands more than other platforms. I think this could be because Twitter has a very young audience who care more about what brand they buy from. This chapter was a great read and I'm looking forward to learning how to market on the other social media platforms.

  1. Twitter having and using so much information from users due to their algorithm makes it easy to market specific ads to people, but its pretty frightening how large the amount of data that algorithm gets from users purely for selling products.
